Success In Life

The practice of living in the positive attitude of faith and optimistically persevering are indispensable success factors for any great accomplishment

All human beings have the innate success-power to direct their own lives.

Imaginative goal-setting activates this power.

In other words, deliberately envisioning what you want to manifest sets the manifestation process of that outcome into motion.

To be successful, harness your power of creative visualization by imagining yourself living in the conditions, goals or outcomes that you desire.

However, don’t make the common mistake of presuming that the easy and immediate fulfillment of your desires automatically follows when you imagine yourself succeeding.

When you visualize what you want you set the manifestation process into motion and then life starts delivering to you the exact conditions that you need to go through in order to manifest or accomplish what you desire.

It may be that you need to pass through extremely challenging situations to manifest what you want or to achieve your goal.

But to get where you want to go you may have to pass through difficult conditions that you manifested through previous negative visualizing, like worrying about failing or expecting to be disappointed.

You may have to first overcome severe obstacles to develop the abilities, strength, and knowledge you need to finally be successful at manifesting your intended outcome.

However, once you visualize your desired outcome, there really is no need for you to feel anxious or disappointed. Whatever occurs is exactly what you asked for, because going through it is necessary to arrive at where you want to go.

Avoid diverting the manifestation process by imagining that your situation is NOT what you need to go through to progress along the path to success, that your present difficulty or let-down is a sign that you will NOT succeed, that your efforts to achieve success have led to failure.

When you envision failure, feel disappointed or worry about your future you are manifesting more of what you do NOT want.

So after you envision your success, TRUST that everything that happens next is exactly what you need to go through to achieve your goals and objectives.

The practice of living in the positive attitude of faith and optimistically persevering are indispensable success factors for any great accomplishment.

Difficult circumstances give you the perfect opportunity to let go of discouraging visualizations and worry-habits.

So here is how the power of creative visualization REALLY works as a key to success:

Every experience that happens to you PERFECTLY ALIGNS with your visualization of success in life.

Dara Torres Inspires Despite Missing Her 6th Olympics Stint

By Pankaj Sharma

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”

–     Theodore Roosevelt

Dara Torres

Dara Torres - An indomitable will to succeed (Pic courtesy: Supersport.com)

Dara Torres, who is first US swimmer to compete in five Olympic Games, fell short by nine-hundredths of a second to make it to the Olympics for the sixth time. But, finishing fourth in Olympic trials against girls almost half her age is awe-inspiring and something more than an achievement.

There is nothing to prove for somebody who has won twelve Olympic medals including four gold medals, four silver medals, and four bronze medals in a career spanning for around 30 years. Winning at least one medal in every Olympics she participated, in itself speaks for her consistency throughout her career, which can only be achieved through enormous hard work and strict discipline.

Age No Bar for Success

Dara Torres has been successful in defying age, the physical limitations imposed by the advancing years and the rigorous demands that swimming makes on the human body. She won three silver medals in 2008 Summer Olympics at the age of 41 years. Though Torres tried to bid good bye to waters more than once but her love for the sport and her indomitable fighting spirit brought her back into the pools.

Her zeal to recover from fitness problems not only helped her display consistency in the sport that requires high degree of fitness but also inspired many men and women athletes who call tend to call it a day early.

There are several other such inspiring personalities who have not let age come in their way towards success or achieving their dreams.

Anthony Ervin, the 31-year-old US swimmer made a comeback this year into the national team in the men’s 50 freestyle after 12-year absence.

Tom Watson, an American professional golfer, had almost won the British Open in 2009 at the age of 59 years.

Pitcher Jamie Moyer won Major League Baseball games when he was in his late 40s.

Martina Navratilova, the legendary tennis champion, who won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 10 major mixed doubles titles and 31 major women’s doubles titles (an all-time record), is oldest ever Grand Slam champion at the age of 46 years and 8 months.

Self Motivation is the Key to Success

“One of the most courageous things you can do is identify yourself, know who you are, what you believe in and where you want to go.”

– Sheila Murray Bethel

One has to admit that such great feats are noticed and celebrated because they are unusual. But what one must understand and realize is that these inspiring people began as ordinary people just like any of us and rose to such great heights through sheer determination, a positive attitude, an insatiable desire to succeed and a zeal for self help.

The lesson we can gain through the life and achievement of Dara Torres and other athletes is simple yet revealing – if you can guide yourself towards your key to success through self improvement and the desire to excel, no dream is impossible.

be successful

To employ success secrets like confidence building, routinely and deliberately visualize yourself achieving results that match your wildest desires

Nothing is a source of confidence building like success.

But visualizing yourself succeeding comes very close.

Individuals who have achieved great success are extremely self-confident relative to their area of success.

Individuals whom I have known who have amassed great wealth, for instance, have the attitude that even if they lost their wealth, they feel totally confident that they could rebuild their wealth.

Confidence building is one of the great success secrets.

Notice how you feel after you accomplish something important to you.  You probably feel more self-confident.

I have found that visualizing myself succeeding is also confidence building.

By contrast, visualizing myself producing disappointing results causes my confidence to wane and my insecurity to rise.

To employ success secrets like confidence building, I therefore routinely and deliberately visualize myself achieving results that match my wildest desires.

The results of this practice are wonderful.  I feel less stress, less anxiety, more inspiration and more fulfillment every year, and I am delighted as I witness my positive dreams coming true!

Knowing success secrets is useless unless you put them to work.  Here is an exercise for doing just that:

  1. Make a list of three accomplishments that would thrill you.
  2. Spend one minute focusing your mind on visualizing yourself easily accomplishing each.
  3. Then, imagine the feeling of being absolutely self-confident about your ability to achieve those goals.  Spend 1 minute on this for each item on your list.

Please share in this blog your experience and the results
of this confidence building exercise.

Success secret: Train yourself to seek your path

The moment you begin looking for a way to succeed, you begin finding your way to succeed.

Your life IS a perfect success training opportunity.

Every experience that you go through offers you an education in how to go through it better.

If you look for a better way to live in this moment, you will find it.  “Seek and you will find” is a provable law of life and one of life’s greatest success training secrets.

Train yourself to seek your path to truly
fulfilling success in the now.

What are you looking for?

  • a higher income?
  • a higher level of accomplishment?
  • A higher levels of talent?
  • a higher level of love, joy and fulfillment?

Your daily living experiences offer you the success training opportunities you need to turn your dreams into reality.

The moment you begin looking for a way to succeed,
you begin finding your way to succeed.

If you feel stuck in any way, open your mind to the educational opportunity offered to you right now.  Observe what you say, think, feel and do and notice what that causes you to go through.

Then simply look for  better, more effective and efficient way to achieve your goals and you will find it.

When you go through disappointment or difficulty, accept the opportunity for great success training. Look for the lessons that you can use to be more successful, and you will find those lessons even in the darkest times.

To find success, define what you mean by “success”. Training for triumph requires first that you know the triumph you want.  Define and envision a particular goal.  Then ask yourself, “What abilities do I need to develop to achieve this?” You will receive an answer defining the training for success that you need.

Your current level of accomplishment in any area of life is an exact reflection of your current level of ability.  To achieve a higher level of success, training is required.

The best form of success training is to work on developing the abilities you feel most inspired to develop, and to turn every life-experience into a lesson that points to training you can use to lead a more successful life.

“Secret” Skills for Success

By Bob Lancer

There are many commonly known skills for success, including

success-secrets

Focus on the now to feel renewed. Now is a new beginning

  • Time management
  • Clarifying goals
  • Building strategic alliances
  • Adhering to integrity
  • Pursing ongoing self-development
  • Persevering

There are also less well-known or more secret skills for success.

One pertains to an essential ingredient for perseverance: the success skill of dropping burdensome memories of how many times you have started, or of how long you have worked without results.

Achieving major goals can take a very long time;
longer than you ever thought it would
or even should take you.

Making effort can grow increasingly tiresome. If you think about past disappointments you can begin to feel discouraged.

As discouragement mounts it drains more and more of the power and focus we need to make the most possible progress toward your desired destination.

If you are feeling frustrated or disheartened about achieving a goal, this is one of the most important skills for success for you to remember.

Focus on the now to feel renewed.
Now is a new beginning.

To hold onto your past is to horde experiences, which clutters your way forward. To enter the now, let the past go.

Be a beginner now: now is the time to begin the creation of what you want right now.

Here is another of those “secret” skills for success; it relates to letting go of the past.  This is the success skill of being aware of what you are thinking and feeling in the present.

You have to notice that you are holding
onto the past to let it go!

As you practice the skills for success of:

  • Being aware of what you are thinking and feeling in the present
  • And of letting go of the burden of thinking about the disappointing past, you accomplish two things

  1. You will feel freer, lighter and more energized in the present moment
  2. You will be giving your all right now for all you want right now

Put these skills for success to work for you to discover just how wonderfully they really do work!

Don’t Be Misled By Success Secrets

Free your mind from negative to think positive

Switching from negative to positive thinking is not as effortless as it might seem.

One danger of the success secrets movement is that it often makes success sound too easy.   Then, when things don’t change that easily, individuals may feel so disappointed that they give up trying to improve their circumstances.

While it’s true, for instance, that visualizing what you want draws it to you, and holding onto a thought about what you do NOT want brings more of that into your life, switching from negative to positive thinking is not as effortless as it might seem.

How we think is habitual, and we can change long-standing habits by only small degrees at a time. Making major change requires long-term discipline.

The success secrets movement also often misleads by overlooking the crucial practice of self-awareness.  So much of a person’s negative thinking goes on UNCONSCIOUSLY, and one cannot change what one is not aware of.

Until one becomes sufficiently self-aware, one confuses troubling thoughts about life, self, others and situations with the reality those thoughts represent. And this makes one’s problems seem inescapable.

Whatever you think is just a mental projection.

The longer you hold onto a disturbing mental projection, the more powerful and dominating
you make it.

Another way that success secrets often mislead is by overlooking the critical, causal relationship between thought and emotion. For example, when you feel angry, thinking fixates on what makes you angry. When desire is triggered, thoughts fixate on what you want to be true, blinding you to costs and dangers.

Practice being aware of your thinking, emotion, mood, attitude and desire in the present.  This will help you to avoid fixating, and thereby empowering the negative thinking that produces what you do NOT want in your life.

You CAN apply success secrets to soar into the highest levels of accomplishment you can imagine by practicing more self-awareness and remaining committed for the long-term.

5 Mantras Of Positive Thinking

By noahbrown
Friday, January 21st, 2011

If you are constantly blaming others for everything wrong in your personal and professional life, if you are feeling low and depressed for a long period of time, if you don’t look forward to anything; then it is time to take a hard look at your own attitude and make a conscious effort towards changing it.

negative thoughts

Negative thinking drains the joy out of everything you do

Negative attitude stems from negative thoughts and it can be very harmful if this habit is continued for a long period of time. Negative thinking drains the joy out of everything you do. The same job, which may seem drab and dreary to you if you are thinking negative, will turn satisfying and encouraging if you look upon it as an opportunity for doing something or learning something new. Here are 5 mantras to help you develop the habit of positive thinking:

Seek the company of positive people

The first and the easiest thing that you can do to develop positing thinking is to spend time with the people who think positive. Just as a smile elicits a reciprocal smile, positive thinking too is contagious. People who look up the brighter side of life even in the midst of odds, make other around them think positive about themselves.

If you stay with negative people they will only push you into more negativity. Instead try and always surround yourself with helpful, strong, confident people who encourage you and help you see things in a positive way.

Speak and think positive words

Whether you are thinking or conversing with others, always use positive words. Instead of saying ‘I can’t', say words such as ‘I can’, ‘It is possible’, ‘I am able’ and so on. While conversing, use words that evoke feelings of joy, strength and success. Whenever you feel like giving up, repeat it to yourself that you can do it. You will be amazed to find how much strength you can draw from your positive thoughts.

However thinking or repeating positive words for a few minutes in a day is not enough. You have to consciously make it your habit to always use positive words and refrain from anything negative.

Control your thoughts

Negative thoughts can sometimes come flooding in and drown you in negativity. They are not easily swept away either. You have to work towards turning your negative thinking into positive thoughts. Whenever a negative thought begins to develop in your mind, dump it and instead substitute the depressing, doubtful thoughts with good, confident thoughts. Don’t let your emotions rule you. Instead you rule your mind and thoughts.

Change your lifestyle

Exercise regularly and eat good, healthy food. All these things will also make you feel and think good. Watch a good movie which makes you feel happy. Enroll yourself in dance or music classes, learn swimming, read good books and do things that make you feel good. Cook something special if cooking is something that makes you happy.

Moreover, bring about a little change in your home as well. De-clutter your surroundings. Dump all the unnecessary things which you don’t need anymore into the trash bin. Clean up the house and rearrange things, such as shifting the furniture around or reorganizing the closet. And surround yourself with beautiful things such as a photo frame of your family, colorful potted plants or flowers, and whatever you like.

Watch motivational videos

In addition, watch some motivational videos which inspire you to think positive. There are various websites which boast of an impressive collection of inspirational quotes and video messages which offer success secrets of brightest of minds . In fact, make it a point to daily watch a motivational video which inspire you to face life’s challenges powerfully, assist in your personal development and encourage you to stay positive always.

You can even become a member of Wisie.com and receive daily inspirational videos on positive thinking, relationship advice, parenting advice and success secrets. Inspirational videos with the motivational messages will keep you motivated towards your intents and help you realize your dreams.

The Non-Reactive Way To Success

Learn to control your reactions

Your key to success is to align your response with what you want to accomplish

The non-reactive way to success is the most direct way to success.

When you react, you are being triggered off into a way that diverts your course away from your true goals.  In fact, the more reactive one is, the less successful and satisfied that individual must feel.

To the extent that you feel dissatisfied, unsuccessful or stuck, you are experiencing the results of reactivity.  The way out of failure and the way to more success, is through NON-reactivity.

When you react your response are not based on clear and
accurate perception of your situation.

The opposite of reacting is calmly and patiently considering your situation in order to come up with a response that aligns with what you really want to accomplish – your way to success.

Under the influence of an automatic, habitual, emotional reaction we lose touch with our deeper self.  We lash out, sink into despair, or waste energy in other ways.

When you react, you recreate the same old problems because you are living in the same old way.

Instead of reacting, be responsive by choosing what you say, think, feel
and do in line with what you want to create in your life.

Only when you feel calm can you:

  1. Sense the deeper goals you most deeply desire to achieve
  2. Accurately perceive what is happening
  3. Realize how to think, feel, speak and act here and now for the results you really want.

A reaction is a trigger-response based on hasty observation,
superficial judgment and poor reasoning.

Reacting re-creates what you do not want. Create more of what you do want by responding.

Shift from reacting to responding through the practice of being more self-aware in the present.  As you notice yourself falling into a reaction pattern can you begin withdrawing your energy from it, leaving you with more energy to invest in more conscious, constructive responses. This is your way to more success.
